Stef first encountered dance in 2005 discovering Modern Egyptian style belly dance with Strathclyde-based teacher Joanie Ward. After performing with Mirage Arabic Dancers at many haflas and events she soon found Tribal style in the shape of the world-renowned Rachel Brice and the Bellydance Superstars.
Seeking out the roots of the dance she studied
Gypsy Caravan ATS with Deirdre MacDonald in Glasgow 2007; while continuing to
pick up tribal fusion aspects from DVDs and workshops with many inspirational
local and international teachers such as Kami Liddle, Sharon Kihara, Samantha
Emanuel, Wendy Marlatt, Geneva Bybee. Since then she has gone on to perform solo
and in restaurants and was excited to be asked to join Sarasvati Tribal in 2008.
Stef is always on the lookout for new dance styles to learn from having already
had tastes of African, Street Dance and Salsa.
She likes sloths and chocolate milk. Extra long snakey arms are a speciality.
